Was taking a little break last night and came across this video claiming to have filmed a ghost at a Raffles Place office with their cctv.

There have been lots of debates whether or not it is really a brush with the paranormal or if its just somebody's idea of a joke. Whatever the truth is, it sure adds a little interest to a day of mugging!

It literally disappeared from my wallet.
Too much of a coincidence that 2 things were missing from my wallet.

Cobwebs are growing thick here.
Hardly had time to sleep,
much less update my blog.
Lucky enough,
today's a short respite from the hectic school life.
Because I've skip my morning lecture and slept until 12.35pm.
Meanwhile, I can update abit with some long overdue misc photos and those from Clarissa's 21st birthday!
Clarissa's surprise birthday was organized secretly by her bf.

A very long post

This will be a post with many overdue photos and updates.
Despite this week being a recess week,
it is still awfully busy.
What with accounting quiz,
projects deadline just round the corner,
and many others.

Of all the projects,
Markstrat is by far the one that demands the most time.
We worked till 11pm @ Glenda's house on Tuesday.
Markstrat is this online stimulation game,
whereby my team takes on the role of product manager.
So every week we have to look after our ROI, stock price, market share etc.
Whatever the results of our 'company',
will be reflected upon our actual school grades.
Every week we're subjected to this competition among 5 'companies',
which are in fact just 5 groups in our seminar class.
The results are released every wed afternoon.
Just this wed,
I received a msg from Esther stating:
"OMG girls, we've to work hard to stop others from taking over us!"
My heart almost drop out.
I thought we had lost.
Called Esther immediately,
turned out she was just pulling our legs.
Gosh.
A competitive game like this just brings out the desire to win.
That's the clever bit by our lecturer.
Make anything competitive,
and you've got the students' full efforts.

Oh, and I managed to get the internship at BBDO advertising agency,
came as quite a shock,
the Planning director initially told me he'll get back to me 2 days after the phone interview,
but I didn't receive anything from him for the whole week.
Thought all was gone,
till I received a call yesterday at 7+pm.
Hope the school approves the internship.
One of the top 4 agencies in the world,
a chance that is rare to come by.
Pray for the best.

But they make you incredibly full.
Up till the point of bursting.
Not a good sign for me as I burn calories at the rate of snails crawling.

Valentine's day!
Sean surprised me with a sweet balloon in school.
by pretending to ask me down to Canteen B for breakfast,
then coming up from behind with the balloon.
Sweet :)
In the end I brought the balloon along to shop with Esther,
and everybody probably thought we're a lesbian couple.
Lol.
Had dinner at Sun with Moon Japanese restaurant over @ Clarke Quey.
Their portions were so incredibly small!
The scallops and prawns I ordered were barely enough to fill 1/4 of my stomach :(

When we went back to Central,
I received a call from Song Yu,
of him asking us not to go upstairs.
Turned my head up and saw him and his gf just right along the corridor on the 2nd floor.
S'pore is just so small. Haha.

After dinner and slacking around,
we went to meet his friends at Clinic bar,
had a lychee martini.
That drink is heavenly.
Pardon my superstitions,
but I just thought the wheelchairs that Clinic bar had in place of real chairs,
were rather pantang to sit on.

Finally, last event of today's entry.
My very first networking night.
Handshakes, exchange of name cards, making small polite conversations,
all part of a glimpse into the corporate world.
Can't say I'm looking forward to it,
but its not something I can avoid either.
Especially not if I'm venturing into business marketing as a career.

Before going for the networking night,
we were at our product and pricing seminar class.
Our incredibly cluttered table with left overs from lunch.

Fun came after the event itself,
where we took some real silly pictures at the top of york hotel.

Time is still the best when you let your hair down.

This semester has been awfully busy.
Coupled with the never ending projects,
sourcing for internships,
tuitions,
blah blah blah...
I barely have time to get my usual 7 hours of sleep everyday :(

Sorry for the serious lack of updates in this blog.
I will do a proper entry coming Monday with photos from Valentine, a very long due post on Chin Hao's birthday and if I can, photos from Azhar's 21st birthday this Saturday and Florine's 21st birthday this Sunday.

This year's reunion dinner was rather special,
instead of our usual steamboat,
we had it at Urban East restaurant @ Esplanade.
It was a 10 dish course,
similar to those wedding dinner kind.
Some dishes were nice,
some were not.
Regardless of that,
what was nice about it was the gathering of all,
getting together with all my cousins,
fun and laughter and just..
family warmth.

Some pictures taken last night:

I took a shot of my mum in her traditional cheong sum,
so to make it even better,
I applied some photoshop skills,
and gave the picture a very 60s feel.
My cousin says it looks like the cover of some mooncake box.

My brother came with this weird hairstyle,
that makes him looks like Sonic the hedgehog.
He said it was for the GL (guai l**) hairstyle day,
that he and his friends made up.
Young boys these days have weird ideas.
He told me to take a photo of his side profile,
so as to show his porcupine-looking hair.
Since I was already editing photos for this post,
I took some time to edit his side profile,
and gave him a Apple Ipod poster look.
Took me quite awhile to manipulate it,
especially since he's not holding on to any Ipod but just some postcards.
I quite like the end result =]

We had 3 tables altogether,
and all the cousins,
or the youngest generation,
took up 2 tables.

The waitresses were all wearing this tribal-like hair ring,
and since everyone just love my dad's hairless head,
they made him wear it to see how he looks like.
And they were pretty amused by it.
Lol.

After dinner it was off to my uncle's place to play our yearly tradition -
Lunar New Year gambling.
I'm happy to say I won quite some money.
And had continued winning today.
Whee...
Hehe.
Love the feel of seeing your money stack higher and higher.

Today didn't end very well,
misunderstandings lead to bigger things.
And when miscommunication occurs,
both party gets hurt.
It just takes a little calm thinking to realize,
how both may not be at fault,
but words can snowball to such an extent,
that we end up getting upset with each other.

Whatever it is,
Lunar New Year is still suppose to be a festive season.
It is not a good start to a year to feel upset,
so dear friends,

Hello dear friends!
Happy Chinese New Year to all!
So far, new year has been off to a good start,
won some money from the traditions of family gambling during new year.

Pardon for the lack of updates, my laptop was away for a little trip to the repair centre,
Sad to say, the keyboard has yet to be changed.
I need to send it back again when the keyboard they ordered arrives.

Some updates!
Made an apple crumble.
Was pretty disappointed because the crust below was made too thin,
in the end, the pie couldn't be lifted up.
The lattice top looks good,
but not really practical for cutting.
The washing part was the worst,
especially the paste for the apple which sticks to the pot.

Last week there was a Hall 3 midnight fiesta.
Went there with guru.
Felt a little out of place because everyone there was from Hall 3 except for me.
Seldom went to Chinatown during New Year coz I dislike crowds.
Even though,
it was a good trip there with guru.
Bought a nice red necklace for $2!

Hello everyone! Will blog a fast one before the start of another busy week.

This semester is packed with projects =( But at least Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year is coming!

A few pictures to upload from IIC's event at Suntec - The Next Fund Manager. I should mention that the following pictures were taken by Zhi Yuan's pro camera. Everybody has flawless skin in the picture! And I don't even need to adjust any lightings whatsoever with Photoshop.

My keyboard has gone crazy! It's simply irritating that the 'D', 'B', 'W' '2' and '3' keys are temperamental and refused to work sometimes. I'm sending my lappie for repair soon! But I'll need to backup all my files first. Which is a chore to do.

Ooh I tried making chocolate truffles too! Turn out to be pretty delicious. Pity I didn't take any pictures though. What's next on the baking list? Pineapple tarts and almond cookies since Chinese New Year is just round the corner!

I miss the times when I get to wake up at 12pm. Sigh. All right shall go catch up on my beauty sleep.

2 Birthday Parties

Hello guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Have been staying in hall for the past week!

Love staying in hall with my lovely guru :)

Hall 3 just seems so familiar.

Everything in it looks like hall 16.

Feels like I'm back to my own hall!

Attended two 21st birthday celebrations so far - One was Genevieve's party and the other was Persis's celebration. Coincidentally, both are my CPs (Chief Programmers)!

Gen's birthday celebration was at NSRCC. It was an old school affair theme. Having thrown away my school uniform, I had to resort to wearing a Japanese school uniform (skirt only) and this blazer looking jacket. Hmmm, can't say I'm very successful in my dress up. Lol.

Persis held a different kind of celebration. Instead of having a chalet, she organized different groups of outings with her friends. Needless to say, us CPs and Daphne celebrated with her together. Dinner was at Hog's Breath in CHIJMES.

Sheng Chao played a trick on Alex by changing his contact in Alex's hp to '999' and calling him. Alex freaked out when he saw '999' calling him and thought for real that the police was ringing him up! Haha. We had a fun time laughing together. It was nice catching up with the CPs and of course, Daphne =]

I'm seriously hooked onto this Russian trilogy novels - Nightwatch, Daywatch and Twilight watch. Love the style of writing. No bus and MRT journeys are too long with the books. To me books are more addictive than any movies. Nothing like a good book to fill my appetite!

Banana Chocolate Muffins

I'm a happy girl coz the banana muffins I baked today turned out to be mouth-watering good :) The recipe's good! The muffins are moist and nice.

Sean casually mentioned he wanted to eat banana muffins or something during Genevieve's birthday party coz her birthday cake was a banana chocolate cake. So I've decided to bake him some muffins as a surprise. My first time trying this recipe, had a hard time half way because the butter refused to melt properly. Hate to deal with butter whenever I bake because they're so hard to stir.

Here's the recipe I used:

I did not change the ingredients from the original recipe. What I did change was the method of baking.

1st step: In a bowl - Sift the flour, mix flour with brown sugar. baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir chocolate chips in.

2nd step - Prepare the bananas. Divide the bananas into 2 bowls. Blend one bowl (Bowl A) of bananas well (use a blender) As for the second bowl of bananas (Bowl B), chop it into small chunky bits.

Stir together milk, butter, and eggs. Mix with well blended bananas (Bowl A). Add mixture into blender to blend the butter in.

Extract mixture from blender and stir in chunks of bananas (Bowl B). Add final mixture to the bowl of flour, sugar etc. (prepared in step 1), stir in the flour. Do not overmix the mixture. Batter will be slightly sticky. Fill the batter into approximately 11 muffins cups. Pre-heat the oven and place muffin cups into the oven. Bake till muffins turn slightly brown. Use a toothpick to check if the muffins are ready.

Let it cool and its ready to serve!

I must say these taste nicer than the chocolate muffins I always bake. Sean gobbled 3 of them up at once. Haha. I gave some for my mummy to taste but she complain of the chocolate inside coz she's not a fan of chocolate. She said she was looking forward to some pure banana muffins. Sensing her disappointment, I made a new batch of pure banana muffins at night. I increase the sugar to 3/4 cup for the pure banana muffins.

Hmmmm personally I think the chocolate banana muffins taste nicer. I think I'll just leave a few pure banana muffins. As for the rest of the pure banana muffins, I shall melt some baking chocolate and drizzle it over the top of the muffins tmr morning.

So that ends the day of baking 'frenzy'. Next mission - Chewy white chocolate, chocolate cookies!

Hello!

Just back from a nice dinner with Sean. Love Xiao Long Baos but the ones at Ding Tai Feng aren't that nice after all. Give me those from Crystal Jade and Imperial Kitchen anytime!

Just this afternoon I downloaded new photoshop brushes. It is kind of addictive, I just continue to download more and more brushes. Had fun making this background picture, simply playing around with the brushes and tweaking the colours here and there:

I like to give all my pictures some kind of border. It gives the picture a 'firmer' feel.

While I was fiddling with photoshop, I finally uploaded the pictures from the Lireal Outing on 27th Dec and made a collage.

Been quite awhile since we had a Lireal outing. Kudos to Esther for organizing this one!

Dinner was @ New York New York!

Typical American food but I do like the cotton candy. There's something magical and nostalgic about eating cotton candy. I used to adore them when I was a child. The sugary ball of fluff that melts in your mouth.

After dinner we went to Hong Kong cafe for desserts. The waiter had a hard time trying to fit us all into the same table. End up we only order a bit of food. Lol. They must have thought we were far too troublesome. The most funny thing was bumping into our grand seniors (who were having a gathering of their own) outside the cafe. Most of them were in their working clothes, enjoying dinner after a day of work. I imagine that will be how we look like in a year's time. Haha.

After the desserts, some of us went back early. For those who stayed, we simply went Esplanade to take a walk. The river was full of ducklings! Rubber ducklings that is. I expect they will have a hard time clearing it up.

School has started this week. It's a good thing I still get 2 more days to slack because monday is my free day and all my lessons on tuesday will only start next week. Hehe. I'm still in a holiday mode! Too bad reality has to pull me back to that ulu place I call school.

2007 has been a fast year. In fact, it seems like after you reach a certain age, every year seems fast. Time just flies and before you know it, you're done with college and out in the 9 - 5 world. 2007 has been a special year, a year with many little milestones in my life. Every year, I will keep a folder of photos taken from all sort of events from the year itself. Well, here are some memorable events from my 2007 life.

For now, thats half a year of recall. The second half of the year has more photos. It's more tiring than I thought to search for all the photos. I realize my photos need better organization. On Christmas eve morning itself, I lugged the food to Yan's house before meeting the rest to go to the function room in her bro's condo.

Yan's niece and nephew was at her house. Her niece, Jana, is super cute. She's so chubby and appears to be very happy that day.

While waiting for Yan to prepare, I took some pictures of her X'mas tree. The candy cane picture turns out to be very nice. Love the contrast between the foreground and the background and how the background seems a bit blur (I swear no photoshopping here :p)

Holiday Joys

Greetings!

What I love about the holidays is that we have all the time in the world to do what we want and what we please. Besides occasionally doing some work here and there, holiday is the time when I can go around to have good food and travel from Aljunied to Old Airport Road just for chee cheong fun. It is the time when I need not worry about incomplete tutorials and impending tests.

Been having quite some Japanese cuisine recently. Tried out the Ramen place @ Century Square. The food was pretty disappointing.
Their salmon ramen was so-so. The salmon taste nice with the sauce, can't say the same for the noodles though. As for their 'must try' Gyoza (Jiao Zi or meat dumplings), I would say the frozen ones that are sold in supermarkets taste better. The toufu was pretty bad too.

Another Japanese place we tried was Ajiteh @ Plaza Sing. The food was passable but the service was bad. Hardly anyone was around when we wanted to take our orders. In the end, we had to pass the order list personally to one of the waiters.

Snowing in S'pore

Sometimes, the best food out there are not found in fanciful restaurants but at the humble coffeshops in our heartlands. Inspired by delicious hawker fares at www.ieatishootipost.blogspot.com , I marked out places to try fish (yes, again) and my favourite chee cheong fun and ah balling. I left my camera at home that day so all the food pictures shown below are taken from the above mentioned website.

1st Stop: Aljunied Avenue 2

Stall number one: Ng Soon Kee Duck and Fish Porridge

We waited for like 30 minutes for this fish soup. Good is an understatement for their business. Sean was awed by how the aunty manage to remember who ordered what and where they sit considering the number of people who ordered from them. A $5 bowl of fish soup is not enough :( The fish was very fresh. Slurp.

Stall number 2: Citizoom Minced Fish Noodles

This was the stall that sells noodles made from fish. Yeap, so it is basically a pure fish dish for fish fanatics like us. The noodles was quite springy but my favourite was still the fish ngor heong.
Fried till crispy, every bite packs a delicious omph.

2nd Stop: Old Airport Road

We wanted to try the chee cheong fun and the beancurd with ah balling from there. Unfortunately, the beancurd stall was closed, leaving us with only the chee cheong fun to try. The chee cheong fun stall offers fresh chee cheong fun of dim sum restaurant standard at half the price. We ordered 3 different kinds - Char Siew, Mushroom and Prawns. My favourite was the Char Siew one.

I watched a movie on the net this morning. It was a recent movie titled "Halloween". A rather disturbing movie about a 10 year old boy who murdered his family and killed many others.

A young murderer never fails to spook me. Just what is it that makes innocent children kill with a cold blooded thirst that sends a chill down one's neck? Is it an innate evilness within them? Or external factors that led to such tragedy?

My interest enticed, I did a fast search on the Internet and came across one of Crime Library's archive - the first story under the category of young killers is enough to shock one.

It reads "Who could look at the face of this sweet 10-year-old girl and ever imagine her to be one of the youngest serial killers ever discovered. Was this youngster who killed her playmates without any feelings of guilt the result of a monstrous family or a bad seed or something else?"

A 10 year old girl has murdered her playmates, inflicting wounds on them with a terrible playfulness that was blood chilling. This little girl was called Mary Bell, and she had carved the letter 'M' on the belly of one of her victims.

This was what she said about the little boy she has murdered.

"Brian Howe had no mother, so he won't be missed."

Sometimes we humans are no better than the savage creatures we fear in this world. Why do humans fear savage beasts like lions or tigers if we ourselves are capable of such brutality?

Greetings!
Itz either I don't blog or blog too much in a day.
Hmmmm.
Been too bored.
Life without mugging is at times...
empty.
Guess I'm abit used to waking up at 9am and studying till 12.30am.
Haha.

I've been having some career thoughts lately.
Was thinking of venturing into advertising industry.
Yet at the same time, there is some sort of apprehension.
I don't really know what to expect.
But whatever it is, I want to take this opportunity to try it out.
I shall actively source for my internship this holiday.

Vincent recommended Oglivy and Mathers - one of the best advertising firms in the world.
I have to say I'm tempted by this challenge.
Tempted to try new stuff and set foot into the corporate world.
Somehow an internship is different from a temp job.
An internship is like taking a peek into what life I'm going to lead in 1.5years time.
Can't believe my education journey is going to end in 1.5 years time.

I don't like to be in an empty house.

Birthday Celebration Part 2

Hello!
My exams are finally over =]
I'm back to blog about my birthday celebrations.
Plenty of photos this time, took a rather long time to edit them all.

The night before my birthday...
Celebration over at my house. My relatives came over and since my 2 little cousins are November babies too, we held a celebration together.

Green tea birthday cake with red beans from Breadtalk. A rather different cake from the usual ones but it was delicious :)

11.11.07 - The birthday itself...

Before that he told me we were going to the zoo.
I was initially taken aback.
But I was clever enough to guess that zoo means Giraffe. :p

Despite the rather limited menu, the food was pretty good. Particularly their foccacia bread for starters. I can't resist warm soft bread. It was lip-smacking good, especially with the sauce that comes with the bread.

As for main course, I ordered pasta tossed in spicy tomato and chicken. Nice but a tad too filling for me. He ordered baked salmon with potatoes. I always think fish are often served in too small a portion. After all, fish isn't nearly as filling as meat.

We finished off the meal with desserts. Sinful dinner :x I've been having far too many sinful dinners lately. Time to watch my diet!

Happy birthday to me :) Hehe. Thanks to all my friends and family who celebrated with me. And of coz, the special someone, thank you for the lovely surprise. Love you :)

I hate it when my birthday always fall on the exam period. I can hardly even find the time to blog about it. have to blog it in parts. So here's part one celebration with Cherie, Emilyn, Clarissa, Shaline and Pei Wen @ Central. Thanks for the gift vouchers and treat babes :)

We had dinner at Billy Bombers. Pretty nice, normal American dishes. Their fries were humongous.

We went outside to admire the night view of Singapore. Clarke Quey is certainly one of my fav local places at night.

I'm really bad at keeping my blog alive and kicking.

Itz been like almost close to a month since I've been here. *faints.

All right, crap aside, photos to come.

~* Delectable Desserts *~

Had sinful desserts at a cafe near Somerset station :)

I've to say these desserts are really worth the calories.

And a 50% discount after a certain timing just makes things sweeter.

The tiramisu was lip-smacking good.

~* The cage match *~

Headed over to the cage @ Kallang last Sunday to watch piggy and his soccer mates play against another team.

I've to say itz scary to watch guys play soccer.

My heart nearly stop beating whenever he took a tumble or when some super-size guy nearly fall on him.

And my lil' cousin just broke his arm while playing soccer.

Seriously, soccer can be a pretty violent game when the guys get competitive.

After the soccer match, it was off to Big Fish for a rather expensive dinner.

One piece of fish in the middle of a nicely decorated plate cost about $29.90.

Itz delicious though.

A once in a blue moon splurge on food.

Now itz time to head down to Esplanade to mug =)

Break from tutorials

Spending your Friday afternoon trapped in your room with tutorials as your companion spells of a boring day. Yours truly is sick. Running nose, irritating coughs and throbbing headaches. Doctor Sean says Clare must stay at home and rest :) Anything he says.

While taking a break from my tutorial, I might as well do something substantial. And clearing my blog of 8cm of dust goes under my list of doing something substantial.

Now that we've come to university, sometimes life hits us with a bittersweet longing to be a true blue student - one that wears a uniform to school. Well, we put that urge into reality in one of Carnage's outings. Rule of the game: Everyone must turn up in uniform and we caught a M18 movie in our nostalgic outfit. It was my first time watching movie with 31 people. Kinda like a 'class outing'. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Another 2 weeks has passed since I last updated my blog. I'm so so lazy. Zzzzzz.

Bought a new Samsung phone, same model as piggy =) The battery life is kinda short thou, but no complains so far.

Phone aside, after one entire year of planning, NBS FOC has finally come to an end last Friday, amidst tears, laughter and cheers. I would say there are ups and downs in this camp, and I've learned more than how to run a camp. At times, my actions have inevitably hurt you. I'm really sorry =(

Post FOC, I realized a few people were very surprised when I cracked a joke. They would uttered a "Clare! I didn't know you can joke!"
Urg, I seem to have created a I-have-no-sense-of-humour image for myself. This sort of image consequently reminds me of those less than friendly school teachers whom we 'affectionately' term them as "老处女".

I should talk more crap. Haha.

Loving to blog with pretty photos comes with a big setback. That of laziness. Photos means the need to photoshop. Photoshop means the need to spend time doing. And the need to spend time doing means being lazy. So it goes round in a nice vicious cycle which explains for the lack of updates in my blog.

Well, as much as I love to procrastinate and laze my bum off, lazy me has forced myself to whip out some nice pictures and finally blog. Presumably my last post before whisking off to camp next week for one whole week. Whee, one entire week of being sleep deprive. *waves pom pom in delight* Sarcastic me.

Despite the lack of sleep I know I'm going to suffer from, one huge part of me is still eagerly anticipating this camp. One whole year of planning, one whole year of hard work. And now itz down to the final showdown.

All right enough talk. Pictures time. 3 different events to showcase. The first being my dinner with miss guru and her bf alex, miss yan, miss sin and mr chee wei. Dinner @ secret recipe. Where they bluff me by putting 'alphabet fries' on the menu which turn out to be harsh browns. And I had to flatten every single oily alphabet before putting them into my mouth. The woes of women. Sigh.

Second event, bbq at Kelly's house. Wanted so badly to see his super cute dog. But was told to my disappointment that the cute doggy was somewhere in Tampines @ his brother's house. Why the overwhelming desire to see his dog? Well take a look at the next picture and u would know :)

Anyway, enjoy the random pics from the bbq. Too lazy to tag them.

Down to the last event, idling over at Siloso beach. We went there to test the speakers for the camp and were literally bored out of our mind afterwards. Sentosa is just not a place to be with gloomy and depressing grey sky engulfing every tiny bit of sunshine that might otherwise fall on us. Had a bit of lunch at Food Republic Vivo City.

At Siloso beach, we were so bored that we played an assortment of games like Dai Dee, random Frisbee throwing and get this.... BUILDING SANDCASTLES. Tell me, when was the last time you dig sand with your hands and attempt to pile them up as high as you could? Sigh, good old reminiscence of our innocent childhood. We finally found the solution to our boredom.. Cam whoring :)

I love taking sepia pictures, especially in places like Sentosa where you can get that romantic feel out of your photographs. And palm trees simply make the best candidates for sepia shots. Love how they turn out.

Hate how I always procrastinate. Piles of camp stuff to do!! :((

The 28th of every month means something special to us.. This June was no exception.

He appeared at my doorstep with a bouquet of blue roses, my favourite colour of the rose family :)

My present to him took quite some preparation too!

Made a mess out of the table while creating my masterpiece.

Our initial plan was to head over to Pasir Ris Park's Fishermen Village. But the impending rain made us change our mind and so we head to Parkway Parade.

Walked around the whole shopping centre to look for a restaurant. Picky me can't seem to find a place and we finally settled for Fish & Co after some time.

Our quest for a healthy diet had us ordering grilled stingray with black pepper sauce and grilled dory fish with some greenish veggie-filled sauce.

I would say stingray still goes best with sambal chili together with a dish of kang kong! *drools

Manhattan Fish Market taste nicer than Fish & Co. They have nicer fries and itz cheaper. $9.90 fish&chips compared with $14.90 fish&chips.

While cam whoring halfway, we spotted a baby with super cute hairstyle! His hair was standing up like a baby porcupine :D

One of my favourite shirts in his collection! Can you all spot the picture? Don't really look obvious to me the first time I saw it.

After having the fishy dinner, I wanted to head over to Katong to have my snow ice. We walked over there only to discover that the shop had closed down :( No more snow ice for me. Does anyone knows where else do they sell snow ice in S'pore?

Since we've no snow ice to savour, it was back to my home. On sheer impulse, I decided ice cream would make a nice substitute for snow ice so we went to Ice Cream Gallery opp my house and bought 3 scoops - Irish Bailey, Strawberry and Cherry.

Had our ice cream at the BBQ pit @ my house.

Nice ambiance for eating ice cream :)

And this marks the end of the sweet evening *hugs*

As a side note, we both got As for our astronomy elective. Happy happy :D

My apologies for the lack in updates.

NTU student union has the most screwed up honorary secretary. Gosh! For a person with such a high position, it seems like the word 'responsibility' has never been part of his vocabulary. He's the only god damn person who can approve the booking of Student Activities Centre facilities and there he goes, happily disappearing to god knows where when itz already like one day before we need to use the meeting room. Not the first time anyway. *pukes blood. For heaven sake please brush up on your understanding of 'being responsible' before undertaking position that can literally screw things up for ppl.

The earth needs to rid itself of such bad rubbish. If only we can rid such people through a planetary nebula. Whoosh.. out they eject into space. Hope you falls into a black hole =X

Trial camp was tiring but pretty fun. Lost my voice, burnt my face and it was my first time acting as a ghost and scaring people. Hee. Itz a happy affair seeing all the CPs (Chief programmers) bond together :)

A gathering of 4 generations of seniors and juniors. Not many pictures over at my side. Still, 2 should suffice :)

Wheeee... finally the mentally draining exams are over (not to mention health draining) The results? Pimples, dry skin and eye bags :( Exams do bad things to your skin. Now that I've a 3mth break ahead of me, guess I'll be busy with camps, having fun and occasionally going back to school for Astro elective. Oh well, perhaps 3times a week is not that occasionally. And I finally have the time to blog often, not to mention fiddling photos with my fav photoshop. Speaking of photos, my bro nearly lost my camera. *faints* Brothers can give you heart attacks every now and then. Oh yeah I just cut my hair. Been ages since I last went to gym..

But on thur morning I manage to get my lazy butt off my bed and make my way to the Tampines gym at 9am in the morning.

Was waiting to leave my house @ 8.45am so I started fooling around with my cam.

Narcissism rocks.

End up I only ran 2 track rounds on the treadmill and did some other random machines halfheartedly.
And more time was spent bathing in the toilet of the gym as compared to exercising.
Hehe.

Went off to the airport to study after gym. Sadly, half the time there was spent sleeping instead of mugging.
Oh no, I'm becoming rather apt at procrastinating.
Somebody please tell me to stop being such a lazy bum.

Thou attendance was not that good, it was nevertheless fun.
We had our dinner @ Riverside Indonesian Restaurant.
Kangkong, bbq stingray, curry chicken, bbq chicken, squids, noodles...

Indeed a satisfying meal!

The otah was not good thou, tasted like vomit to me.

Went on to clarke quey to take pictures after that.
Gosh I think we took over 100 pictures from that night.

Once again I'm so lazy when it comes to blogging. I love my blog to be filled with photos and that unfortunately needs a long time to get it through photoshop and finally upload it on the blog.

My life has been revolving around preparations for the upcoming NBS freshmen camp and school work. We've to raise like 10k for the camp and there are countless canvassing coming up. Itz like 1 year worth of preparation for a 5-days camp.

I realized my camera has been underutilized lately :( What happen to all the cam whoring that I used to have? Lol.

Ooh btw I change my hairstyle again. Cut the fringe and straighten it. I'm running out of stuff to do to my hair. I've permed it, rebonded it, straighten it, cut it from long to short, dyed it. Maybe I should go for alfro style next. Hehe.

Back to update my blog :) Sorry for the lack in updates. Was too lazy. Hee.

Took a trip down to the salon again. Spent $125 on my hair. =X While others go for retail therapy, I go for both retail and beauty therapy. Ouch. Burned a big hole in my pocket.

Like many others, I got hooked to the non-fiction jap drama One litre of tears. Gosh its a really inspiring story. I think I cried buckets of tears over it. Gives you a new perspective to life. Highly recommended.

:: Last weekend - Sat ::

Last sat was spent with yan, sin & my guru. Met up with yan and drop by guru's workplace @ Vivo City to surprise her. Caught her eating snake and talking on the phone. Hehehe. =p Nauti guru. We deliberated between Cafe Cartel for lunch and Cavana. In the end, we chose the latter coz it was much cheaper.

Went to Suntec while guru went back to work. I had a major craving for blueberry cheesecake and up till now, I've yet to satisfy my craving. =(

Dinner was spent eating at Hans. We took some really really retarded photos. Shall not post them here and humiliate myself. We spent the rest of the evening at guru's workplace Sasa. She gave us free eyebrow trimming and hand paraffin. Whee :) Hugs guru.

:: Sunday ::

It was a family gathering on sunday at my uncle's place. We gambled abit coz itz the new year! I love watching my relatives playing the game of chance [and of coz participating in it]. Their silly antics attempted to bring them good luck just makes me laugh. My mother even brought out this boxer with the chinese word "Fa" on it. LOL. It don't seem to work though, she kept losing after wearing it. Hahaha.

It seems that I finally unraveled the identity of my good luck charm - my mobile phone. Whenever I placed my bets beneath it, I tend to win. =D Funny how we all tend to look for our personal good luck charm or certain good luck routine when it comes to gambling.

In the end I won about $20, not bad considering that I only place $1 bets.

:: Current weekend ::

Flea flea flea market! Shopping spree! Bought so much stuff =D Retail therapy rocks. Saw the blogger Dawn Yang at the sgtrade flea market. Hmm think she's prettier in pictures. She looks too plastic in real. Still, she's obviously somebody whom will stand out in a crowd. I think she's even fairer than I am. Haha.

Okie, no more weekends to blog about. Last restday tmr before school starts again. Shall be a good girl and mug for my Financial Management. Wish me luck!

I'm just here to lament about the deteriorating condition of my skin. Grrr...

Imminent pimples threatening to secure their places on my skin. A nose that needs some serious exfoliating to get rid of the blackheads and those ugly pores need to be minimized.

I think itz time I do some strict skincare regime. No more hurry-scurry splash-it-with-water kind of face washing. Instead it shall be a thorough wash up followed by toner and moisturizer. Oh and throw in one or two masking sessions per week. That will be my new year resolution =X

Hmm I'm so bored now. I know I should be starting on my tutorials instead of slouching in front of the computer and typing mindless blog entry. Oh well.

I think I shall sleep.

I'm not sure why, but that remark struck close to heart.

:: Countdown Party ::

What's a new year without countdown?

Had this year's countdown first @ clarke quay then @ esplanade.

Breathtaking fireworks, great company.

Did a lot of walking in heels. Maybe I might shed a few grams from all the walking.

The bad thing about countdown is the difficulty of getting home after that.

Cabs line engaged. No buses. No trains.

Gosh.

Finally managed to call a cab and reach home at 4+.

And the cab fare cost a bomb.

Sob.

:: Hard Rock ::

Went to hard rock on the 1st.

Been a long time since I've set foot there.

I miss the old band.

The music was disappointing.

Had lychee margarita.
The alcohol was mild.
No kick. Hee.
And itz ex. Like about 21 bucks for a pint.

:: Sentosa recee ::

Went down to the lil' island to recee for next year's NBS camp.
I think we walked around 3/4 of the island.
Found a pretty scary barrack that might be ideal for fright night.
Interestingly, we found a big carpark that used to be Fantasy Island.
Gosh I do miss that water wonderland.
And I realized some of the tourists can be pretty unfriendly.
2 refused to take a group pic for us even thou we asked them nicely.
Grrr....
Still, we managed to get 2 nice angmohs to help us take.

Had a Lireal steamboat outing @ Yifeng's house.

Met up with some of them at 3+ to buy food from IMM.

My, IMM did change alot. From the plain looking shopping centre with the boring shops to a mini orchard look alike shopping galore.

No pictures from the steamboat thou, was too lazy to take pics. The only picture is that of the food, which is really pretty pointless to put up.

Nevertheless, it was fun having a Lireal outing.

So long since the last one.

:: Scrabble ::

Scrabble inter hall competition was funny.

We played for two days.

One on 27th and one on 28th.

I got thrashed really badly on 27th.

But was expecting it..considering I only played Scrabble 2 times before the competition.

But surprisingly on the 28th..

I had scrabble luck.

Whats funny is that for the first game, my opponent and the umpire [referee for the game] actually helped me out in my game.

Lol.

Can't believe a competitor actually helped me out during a competition.

They were like calculating for me which space to put the words that will get me the maximum score.

It was the first time I actually enjoy playing scrabble.

Besides the game @ parkway. Hee.

As for the second game, my competitor actually never turn up. So it was a walkover.

Wahaha.

And I get to leave early to play PS2. *grins

Well, there was actually another singer called cheng sheng, but his songs are not really my kind of songs [more of my mum's kind], so I left him out from the title. >_<

My uncle got us free tickets for this concert so I went with yan & kelly. They gave us free lightsticks and this air bat thingy. We had fun fooling around with the camera, and I told Kelly I'm gonna make it my very own concert.

Ta da! There. My very own concert. This is the part where they will show the artistes who are going to perform before the commencement of the concert. Oops.

Lol okay I shall cut the crap.

The pictures we took that day werent very nice. The lighting kinda suck, so the pictures are dull and blur. Or maybe the fault lies with my camera. Lol.

I changed the picture to black and white. Black & white hardly goes wrong. Same rule goes for the fashion world.

Halfway thru the concert, I couldnt resist but sneak up stage to take a pic with Mayday.

I cut my hair short.

As in really short. Above the shoulders and I can't tie it now.

Thats a lot of hair cut off considering my original length was way past my shoulders.

Watching my hair fall to the ground gives me a sense of liberation :)

Yeap, I'm learning french, and their pronunciation is just driving me crazy.

Amidst all the exasperating stuff on hand, I went to catch the movie "Devil wears prada" on friday.

Thank god itz friday.

Definitely a cool movie. The clothes & shoes shown in the show is enough to make any normal girls go gaga.

Meryl Streep looks like the dalmatians'-fur-obssessed-and-out of her mind woman Cruella De Vil in the movie. Her acting was superb thou.

Was fooling around with photoshop again. I was deprived of it for a few gd weeks.

I was fooling around with the lomo effects which my senior taught me, but decided to play around with it by changing some of the steps.

Listening to romantic oldies plays weird games to your heart.

Much as I wanted to upload pictures to decorate this bland blog of mine, I can't coz I still don't have the photoshop installed in my new laptop and the old laptop at home is as good as dead. I can't even resize the ultra big pictures which are uploaded straight from the camera.

So for now, I guess I'll have to stick with the traditional way of writing a diary - through words.

School life. The only interesting subject is marketing. Stats sucks. As usual. Coz anything to do with maths sucks big time. Organizational behaviour is a rather dry subject, but perhaps the fault lies not with the subject.

Subjects aside, NTU certainly has a lot of staircases, slopes and everything that challenges against gravity. Why can't they just build travelator and escalator in school? Saves my lungs alot of trouble.

Are there times when you start wondering why you're doing this? Why am I giving a damn? Does giving a damn even worth all the trouble? I'm sick of it.
