Sometimes, in the walk of life, taking a stop to open your ears to the stories of others, might just make you see how fortunate you really are. To think that just a mere few days ago, I thought faith had left me and despair had taken its place. Now looking back, I realized how diminutive my worries have been compared to the ocean of despondency others have struggled against. Was it because of the comfortable life that I've been leading that makes me too vulnerable? The next time I fall into the ocean of despondency, I shall struggle with all my might and wait for the tide to wash me up, which I'm sure it'll one day.
The little roles you play in people's life, however ostensibly insignificant it might be, may be just the thing that meant the most to them. To be there when they need you, it means more than what you think you can give. A little action, a little appreciation, a little concern, or even a little smile - it makes all the difference.
To guru, your previous post is really inspiring, that's what made me so sentimental now.
To nixon, happy birthday. =)
